With this reference still requiring that the section be modified and most likely shortened with more specific reference to PlayStation 3 configurations i have created and placed a table over the wording of the section and, as such viewing the release data in a table is much easier to read and view, rather the the many sentences specifying basically announced and then the release date. This way there will be less space taken by this section by those many references. I have left all the previous wording underneath the table so that i can get an opinion on whether people prefer the lengthy wording or a table specifying the same data. I am also not familiar with joining citations to the data so there is yet none connected to the table. As for the table, yes there already is a table about release information but that table does not clarify both the release and current price only one which is not the best reference also strangely contains alot of un-needed information on the (USD) for every region? which is odd as Wikipedia is worldwide, Like the previous wording of the section the table is by date. All the information in the table is from the previous wording there are a few gaps as not all prices word specified and or every region.Denzelio 01:33, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Wi-Fi support on 40GB model

Can anyone confirm whether the 40GB model has Wi-Fi support? The article currently contradicts itself on this matter - the infobox at the top of the page states that only the 60GB and 80GB models have Wi-Fi, but the "Retail configurations" section indicates that all models except the 20GB one have it. 217.155.20.163 14:33, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Backwards Compatibility with PS1

It states on the wiki that the 40GB is compatible with the PS3 is this correct? I thought it had no compatibility with any older PS game

60B PAL to be replaced by 40GB?

It says in the article (in the retail configuration sections):

"Once stocks of 60 GB PAL region model are exhausted, the 40 GB model will be the only one available in the SCEE territories."

PS3 outsells Wii in Japan

According to Enterbrain, the PS3 sold 183,217 units in November in Japan, outselling the Wii’s 159,193 consoles. while this isn't an enormous amount, it is notable since this is the first month the PS3 has beaten the Wii in sales.Einstein the afrodude 20:38, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

Regioncodes?

• Are there any region codes on the games? Can European consoles play US-American/Japanese games, beside the NTSC/PAL topic?

  • For PS3 games, it's region free. Anything else is regioncoded. DVD follows the same regioncodes as the PS2 does, and PS1/PS2 games are regioncoded the same way as it is on PS2 consoles. The only thing that's regionfree is PS3 games. Blu-Ray is also regioncoded. —
